OUR STORY
At Josie Wyatt’s Grille, we’re proud to call Moab home. Our restaurant was built on family, community, and a love for the Old West — values we carry into everything we do.
The name Josie Wyatt’s comes straight from the heart. Owner Jay L. Elowsky named the restaurant after his two kids. His son, Jay Wyatt, was named after Wyatt Earp, the legendary figure of the Wild West, while his daughter Josie’s name honors both Josey Wales from a classic Clint Eastwood western and Josephine, the wife of Wyatt Earp. For Jay, who grew up inspired by western movies, it felt like the perfect way to bring that spirit into Moab.
That western spirit shows up not just in our name, but in our food, drinks, and atmosphere. We serve handcrafted cocktails, a carefully chosen wine list, locally brewed beers, and dishes made with the freshest ingredients we can source — supporting local farmers and vendors whenever possible.
Being part of the Hoodoo Moab also connects us to the land we love. Hoodoos — the tall, timeless rock formations that rise out of the desert — symbolize the beauty and strength of this valley. You’ll even see that connection in our design, from the natural stonework around our pool to the welcoming spaces we’ve created for gathering.
At Josie Wyatt’s, we believe sharing a meal should feel like sitting down with family. Whether you’re from right here in Moab or just passing through, we invite you to join us, make yourself at home, and be part of our story.
